While many artists have lost opportunities for live performances and music events have been restricted due to the spread of COVID-19, “TELE-PLAY”, a new project that aims to create a new form of music production through remote collaborations, has been launched!
The producer of the project is Ryo Konishi (CRCK/LCKS, Zoominsha), who is also the initiator of the project. Born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, from writing, recording and mixing the song, to filming the music video, the entire process was done completely remotely.
In addition, we partnered with Red Bull to help artists whose musical opportunities have been impacted, and “gave wings” to each artist. Once situations become better, we plan to hold a live stream based on this project at Red Bull Music Studios Tokyo.
The first song off of the “TELE-PLAY” project is called “Ai ni Ikitai” (Miss you so bad). In addition to the amazing vocalist team consisting of Chara, SIRUP, TENDRE, and rapper BASI (in-sist), many prestigious artists including Gota Yashiki, HSU (Suchmos), Shin Sakiura, A.G.O (CIRRRCLE), Miho Hazama, and others were called together to create this song.
The song will be released on June 30th (Tue.) and will be available on all streaming services. The music video will also be released, and documentary footage of the song production and music video production will also be available as paid content. The song will be aired for the first time on June 24th, at 10:00 p.m. on J-WAVE SONAR MUSIC.
