SIRUP and “HOTEL SHE,” a social hotel based in Osaka and Kyoto, have launched a full-scale collaboration project, in cooperation with independent artist support organization “SustAim”, founded by producer and DJ starRo and music agent Daniel Takeda.
As part one of the project, a collaboration merchandise collection featuring SIRUP’s new single “HOPELESS ROMANTIC” will be launched on July 6th (Monday). The collection, featuring key chains and T-shirts (2 designs each) will be sold on the EC site “boy meets she,” (at https://boymeetsshe.shop/), and will be available built-to-order and limited quantity.
The 2 designs for the T-shirts were inspired by the cover art of “HOPELESS ROMANTIC”, and include an illustration of a hotel door, depicting doors that lead to two hotel rooms, “HOPELESS” and “ROMANTIC”.
The 2 designs for the key chains were inspired by the concept of a “HOPELESS ROMANTIC” themed, classic and simple hotel key.
Both products are only available for a limited time and quantity, so be sure to check them out!
10% of the proceeds from the key chains will be donated to “HOTEL SHE/LTER” to cover the cost for those who feel unsafe at home and choose to stay at the shelter.
10% of the proceeds from the T-shirts will be donated to support the Black Lives Matter movement that originated in the United States. In order to empower the future generation of young women and minority communities, donations will be made to The Loveland Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports Black women and girls to receive therapy support, primarily mental health therapy. Through collaborative resources and programs, The Foundation brings opportunity and healing to communities of color.
We strongly believe that donations and social activism should not be a one time effort, and requires ongoing action and vocalization to make substantial change. If you would like to support us in this movement, please don’t feel limited to purchasing our charity products, and also consider donating to or learning about the following organizations. We hope that this project will encourage you to do your own research on any social issues presented to you, and to continue educating yourself in order to stay aware.

Background of the Collaboration
This collaboration came together through SIRUP strongly resonating with the actions and values proposed by “HOTEL SHE/LTER”, created by corporations affiliated with “HOTEL SHE,” which aims to utilise hotels in an age of COVID-19. In May, SIRUP announced that he would donate a portion of the proceeds from the sales of his original denim shirts sold in collaboration with “SYU.HOMME/FEMM” to “HOTEL SHE/LTER”, and also created an original playlist for the shelter. In this day and age when social issues tend to be approached in a superficial way, we strongly believe that what truly matters is to keep educating ourselves and make continuous, tangible efforts and actions. “HOTEL SHE,” plans to keep taking these actions by continuously involving various artists in the future, to create collaboration goods and work on projects together.
